Tour Plan:

DAY TRIP TO OURIKA VALLEY FROM MARRAKECH
If you want to get rid of the bustle of Marrakech and spend a relaxing day in nature, Ourika valley is the best choice. Your Ourika valley day trip starts at 09 am from your accommodation in Marrakech. We will take the road along the valley of Ourika, then you enter through a succession of clinging mountain villages. We will stop to see wonderful landscapes full of vibrant colors as we move through the hillsides, between red and green terraces and rocks. Our first stop will be in a traditional house of a Berber family who lives in the valley. You will find out how families live authentically here by practicing a medieval agricultural tradition and you will be treated like special guests, the family will offer us tea and serve us their local breakfast which consists of bread, honey, butter, and olive oil.

You can choose to relax at the coffee shops near the river or choose to walk with a local guide to see the beautiful streams and 7 waterfalls, beautiful cliffs, and green valleys. For this, you need comfortable shoes for hiking. After the hike we go back for lunch in a nice restaurant with a beautiful view over the mountains, lunch will be composed of a variety of traditional Moroccan foods. Then we return to Marrakech around 05 pm.

We had a wonderful time until Corona19 came. Pleased with the the way our change was handled. Our driver Abdou was wonderful and so kind.. Loved the 3 cities we were able to visit. Did not like the accommodations in Fes but the food was great and the staff were spectacular. Would recommend the company (Go Marrakech Desert Trips) to anyone
    (very efficient)

The trip was amazing. We saw some fantastic, breathtaking views. Both Abdou and the driver Murad were very friendly and made the trip even better. I went with my elderly parents and Abdou was very helpful and supported them when access was difficult. Unfortunately, we couldn’t go as far as the waterfall but the group we went with took pictures and Abdou made sure to share them. Highly recommend it.

Great day trip with stops on the way to visit a traditional Berber market (on Mondays only I believe), spots for scenic photos on the way..then a pretty steep climb on a very rocky terrain to see the waterfalls of Setti Fadma with the great local guide who helped and guides us throughout the climb. Then back to the village for lunch before heading back home with a pit stop at a local argan oil Co-operative. Fantastic day all in all but note the car journeys do take about a few hours each way in all (based on the timings to allow 7hrs it suggested circa 1hr transfer but our day was 8.30 am-6 pm), but special shout out to a great driver Abdou who got us there and back safely! Also, wear warm layers as the climate in the mountain and Valley was much cooler than in Marrakesh, and caught us by surprise to wear walking boots or trainers for the hike!

Our trip to the Atlas Mountains and Ourika Valley was an amazing experience. Abdou. our driver picked us up at the agreed spot and drove us to our destination, stopping at various points of interest along the way. He was very personable and helpful. The bourgeois itself was very smooth and comfortable.
The trail we walked around the mountain was incredible but not for the faint-hearted particularly if you don’t like heights! It is very rocky and steep in some parts. The waterfall was a sight to behold and it is wonderful to see the influence of the falls in the community. It was also lovely to meet the Berber people who were nothing short of warm and welcoming. I highly recommend this trip!

We had an amazing day tour of Ourika Valley and Seti Fatima Falls with Go Marrakech Desert Trips. I received a reminder message from our Driver Abdou a night before to confirm the place and time for the next day’s pick-up. Our driver Abdou greeted us right on time at the spot mentioned with much warmth and courtesy. We were a group of around 07 people and I felt the seating arrangements very comfortable in the AC van. On our way, we were given sufficient breaks to freshen up and eat. Our driver Abdou was very professional and funny and full of facts and information about the culture and history of Berber community who resides in Ourika Valley. We also visited a Berber house to get information about their life. We stopped at Argan oil cooperatives run by women on our way to get information about the famous Argan oil extraction and also to buy some of their products if wanted. Upon arrival to start hiking, we met another guide who helped us guide us to the top of the waterfalls and the view was amazing throughout the hike. The hike was not tough but I do recommend wearing comfortable shoes. There were some amazing views on the way and some juice and handicraft shops. On our way back we stopped at one of my restaurants nearby flowing streams and had our lunch which was again an amazing experience. We were dropped at the same pick-up spot at the time mentioned and Abdou ensured that we are comfortable throughout the trip. I had an amazing time on my tour and I will highly recommend Go Marrakech Desert Trips for any tour activity for Marrakech.
