After several stops along the way, you will arrive at an important point of your trip where you will visit the UNESCO World Heritage site Ksar Ait Ben Haddou, which is the location of numerous Hollywood successful movies (Gladiator, Prince of Persia, Game of Thrones, etc.) After lunch, we will be heading to Ouarzazate, known as “The Gate of the Sahara”. We continue our trip to the most prominent of the oasis valleys that dominate southern Morocco, “The Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs”, via the Valley of the Roses and the city of Skoura with its immense palm groves, We reach our hotel located in Dades Valley or Tinghir. Dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorge – Erfoud – Merzouga Desert (270 km -4 h)

After having breakfast at the hotel, we will be heading to Todra Gorge, at a 68 km distance from Dades Gorges, where we will stop so you can enjoy the breathtaking landscapes of the oasis, with beautiful palm groves and amazing images with the Ksar Tinghir, also called the “Jewish Quarter”. We will continue our road by admiring one of the most spectacular canyons in the world, Todra, where you will enjoy a short walk around the area. We continue our road towards the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, which are a part of the Merzouga desert. After we arrive at the hotel in Merzouga, you will prepare for a 90-minute camel trek across the sand dunes, just in time to see how the color of the dunes changes under the fading light of the sunset. After arriving at the camp, where you will spend the night in nomadic tents, you will enjoy delicious traditional Moroccan food, next to a fire camp, while being entertained by local Berbers playing their drums.

Day 3: Erg Chebbi (Merzouga Desert) – Erfoud – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes (470 km- 7 h)

You will see thousands of palm trees at a distance of 20 km long. From here we will reach the Ziz Valley, where we will stop in order to admire the magnificent view of the region and the town of Aoufous. Before we arrive at our destination, we will be passing through Azrou, a famous Berber village located in the middle of the largest cedar forest in Morocco and the home of Barbary apes, and by the ski resort of Ifrane (the Moroccan Switzerland) built by the French in the 1930s to resemble a Swiss village. The 3-day desert trip will end at your hotel or riad in Fes.

I would highly recommend using this company, it has to be the very best in Morocco, 5 stars Abdou provides an excellent VIP customer-focused service.

We had an amazing time, the whole experience was wonderful. The stops during the trip were a really nice extra!! Our tour group was a cozy bunch of people from all over the globe. The drive to the desert was great as well! I tend to get a bit of driving sickness but thanks to our amazing and super-friendly driver Abdou I had no problems at all. All the other guides we met during the trip were friendly and knowledgeable. Would recommend this to anyone.

  3. Namita Joshi

Very good experience. The guides were very friendly and the driver, Abdou, was excellent. I recommend this experience.

This is a one-in-a-lifetime experience we had on our bucket list. The 3 days allowed for us to know different cities, fabulous landscapes, and delicious food. We were picked up at our hotel and our guide Samir, even though his English was very basic, was very respectful, responsible, and friendly. Sleeping in the tent was special, I highly recommend paying extra for the luxury of having a bathroom inside and if you are going in the month of May, please pack a portable fan, it will help you sleep better.

Great trip & Great guides! The drive out to the desert includes multiple short breaks for refreshments & loos, as well as at several points of interest where local guides show you around other sites & scenic spots. All adding to a great experience in the Sahara!

It is a very enriching experience. You have a road trip allowing you to visit all the most important cities in southern Morocco from Marrakech to Fez. Transport taken care of in a small air-conditioned coach with charger, wifi and excellent driver. You will be accompanied throughout your stay and Abdou is always there if needed. Great team, very good support and lots of discovery along the way!

Here are some examples of what we were able to do: Camel ride, night in the desert, discovery of a Berber village, Game of Thrones filming location, discovery of Moroccan cuisine, etc…

Excellent 3-day stay across southern Morocco with a wonderful night at desert camp. Our driver Jamal was attentive and offered us the best guides.

  8. Felisha Lapointe

Pleasant circuit in Eastern Morocco with a highlight in the dunes of Mergouga with overnight stay in a desert camp. A superb experience in a fantastic landscape. Our guide/driver Abdou who was very friendly throughout the entire adventure !

  9. John Johnson

Very nice route to avoid renting a car and driving, to visit these inadmissible places! The road is long but the landscapes are magnificent, the stops are frequent and Abdou our driver makes it all very pleasant!

  10. Saundra Walls

It was a great experience Abdou and Mustapha were very welcoming and professional. We saw a lot of things during these 3 days, we recommend!! The slightly more negative points would be the fact that our guide did not speak French and my partner does not understand English, plus it is said that it is a maximum of 15 people, but we were often paired with other groups so we were never really that number. But I would say that overall it was a very nice experience. You should also know that it’s a lot of driving but we stopped often, so it’s very well organized.

The night in the desert was truly a magical moment, the camp is superb and the people who work there take great care, not to mention the camel ride, an unforgettable moment! The hours on the road don’t seem so long because the landscapes are magnificent, there are many places to stop to take photos, listen to artisans talk about their work or get supplies.
Thanks to our driver Abdou for his explanations and his kindness.

We had a fabulous trip, perfectly organized by Go Marrakech Desert Trips! I recommend this trip, and above all I recommend that you ask for Abdou as your driver/guide. Abdou is very, friendly, he drives very well, and always wanted to please us. He was very flexible, and had a lot to tell us about the region! We had a great trip.

It was an incredible 3 day in the desert that I have ever done. We rode camels from Merzouga to the Erg Chebbi dunes for an hour to the luxury tent at sunset and spent the night. The tent was unexpected, so comfortable and we were lucky to see many stars in the dark desert. The sunrise in the desert was beautiful and the ride back was fascinating. We had a professional driver who drove the whole way safely and made us feel relaxed.
Abdou is a responsible and helpful guy and we are very happy that he organized our shared 3 day tour.

My husband and our adult son spent 12 days in Morocco in June 2023. This 3 day tour was by far our favorite time in Morocco. Abdou was our driver and he was amazing. We felt safe and comfortable during the entire trip. My favorite part was the night in our desert camp. It’s a family business and they go above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect. We also loved the hotel in Dades Valley. They accommodated our every need and were very hospitable. I can only recommend this company.

Dounia booked us a 3 days 2 nights
Abdou our private driver was exceptional.
We stopped anywhere and he was able to guide us with a big smile and kindness.
We had not received our Casablanca luggage and after a long trip
from Merzouga, he agreed to drop the family off in Marrakech, then drove me to Casablanca airport and back to collect the missing luggage. A long journey of 5 hours, I am forever grateful.
Book this company, they are great.

An action-packed Moroccan adventure – the camel ride in the Sahara desert and the night were the highlights! The landscapes are beautiful and varied. Our guide Abdou spoke good English and nothing was too much trouble – highly recommend!!!

  17. Anthony Lewis

We had a very nice experience, the tour itself was well organized and we got to see many different landscapes of Morocco and different attractions that we might have missed without the tour. The desert was a unique and beautiful experience and everyone involved was very kind. And the camels were so cute, it’s a bit touristy to ride one, but it was still so much fun and it was so interesting to talk to our Berber guide, to understand how he lives, what they do and their way of life. Our guide, Abdou, was fun and taught us a lot about Morocco (and many Arabic words)!
I think he made the visit a little more authentic by telling us about Morocco today, comparing experiences and telling us about his life. It’s a long way to Fes and he was very careful to make us comfortable and help us if we needed anything. He also helped us negotiate with traders? because we’re not really good at that! It’s a long trip but if you want to see a lot in a few days I think it’s worth it.
