It is important to know

Tour price per person depends on how many participants there are at your party
Day 3 driving back from Erg Chebbi to Marrakech is pretty long. Please be prepared for it
A 4×4 can seat up to 4 adult passengers comfortably if there are 5 participants and up, a van will be used for your tour
Local guides and entrance fees ( if any ) are not included. You pay for those directly to the supplier
Pick-up time for your desert tour can be flexible. Between 07h30 and 08h00 AM is highly recommended.
If you wish to experience sandboarding in the dunes of Erg Chebbi, there are a few sandboards in the lodge to take with you to the camp. Just ask for it and if available, you will be given one
This tour can be tailored to a 4-day Marrakech

Day 1: MARRAKECH – AIT BENHADDOU – DADES VALLEY (324km- 6 h)

We will pick up you from your (Hotel or Riad ) then we will start our Tour from Marrakech to Dades Gorges Pasting by Tizi-n-Tichka High Atlas, with far-reaching views across the mountains, to the traditional Berber villages then we continue to Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou to visit the UNESCO World Heritage, you will have lunch at Ait Benhaddou, Then passing by Hollywood city to see the Atlas studios and we continue to Dades Gorges through Roses and Dades Valley and we will spend the night in a Riad or hotel in Dades Gorges.

Day 2: DADES – TODRA GORGES – MERZOUGA CAMEL TREK (270 km- 4 h)

After breakfast, we go from Dades Gorges to Erg Chebbi Sahara desert in Merzouga. Berber villages are scattered along the way, we’ll pass through Todra Gorges, Tinghir, Tinjdad, Jorf, and Erfoud in which we’ll feel the beginning of the Sahara Desert oasis of Tafilalet, and then we continue to an Auberge in Merzouga, after relaxing few minutes you will take some of your luggage in a small bag (the necessary for the night in desert) and leave the other luggage in the Auberge, then we will ride camels on an adventure crossing the erg Chebbi sand dunes, this is a great opportunity to take the awesome pictures of the sunset and sunrise. When we arrive at the camp we will leave the camels and walk to the highest sand dunes of 250 Meters to watch the sunset, we will spend the night in a camp (the nomad tents) with drums and music in the middle of the Sahara Desert.

Day 3: MERZOUGA – DRAA VALLEY – MARRAKECH (560 km- 9 h)

Today you will enjoy a beautiful desert sunrise in Merzouga. Then you will ride camels back to the village of Merzouga. Arriving back in Merzouga and after breakfast, we’ll drive towards Ouarzazate passing Agdez and Draa valley. Finally, we continue to Marrakech passing the Tizi ‘n’ Tichka mountain pass, and the tour finishes in Marrakech. Hence the end of our Marrakech desert tours 3 days.

Last week we bought with 3 friends this private tour and we enjoyed a beautiful experience in the Merzouga desert. I started from Marrakech and the journey through this part of Morocco was wonderful. I visited Ait Ben Haddou and Ouarzazate, we ate traditional food and the camel ride and atmosphere in Merzouga delighted us! Our guide and driver Abdou was very funny and told us a lot of stories about Morocco.

I recommend everyone on this tour to enjoy the Merzouga desert experience!
