Marrakech – Ait Ben Haddou – Draa Valley – Zagora – Erg lihoudi (453 km – 7 h 30 min)

Morning departure from your hotel to Erg Lihoudi through the Atlas mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka 2260 m pass and numerous Berber villages, to finally arrive at the Unesco Ksar of Ait Benhaddou. After visiting, continuing the road to Erg Lihoudi passing by the Atlas mountains, Berber villages of Agdz, and the amazing Draa Valley with its millions of palm trees which is considered the largest one in Morocco. In the evening we will arrive in Erg Lihoudi. You will start your camel trekking in the middle of the desert for dinner and overnight camp.

Day 2. Erg lihoudi – Zagora – Draa Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakech (453 km – 7 h 30 min)

Awake early to see the sunrise over the dunes, followed by a typical breakfast in the camp of Erg Lihoudi, then ride back the camel to meet your driver, and then take the road back to Marrakech. You will have free time in Ouarzazate for lunch in a local restaurant and visit the famous Kasbah of Taourirte. In the afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech via the Atlas Mountains.

Our family had a great time on the overnight camel trekking tour. The camels had such great temperament and the saddles were very comfortable. The camel guides made us feel very safe. The camp was very nicely set up and the tents clean and well equipped.

We had this wonderful desert tour experience. Everything was magnificent first of all our attentive, courteous guide Abdou, told us many interesting anecdotes about her country. He always cared about our comfort and we always felt at ease. Very personable and professional. We did the 1-hour camel trek between the two in the desert…what can I say…fantastic. Then we arrived at the camp and even though it was just my sister and I, they organized everything down to the last detail. From the dinner of 3 tajines (excellent) to the bonfire with Berber music …. And seeing the sunrise in the desert … an indescribable show It is A must-do if you go to Morocco.
