Tour Plan:
Marrakech – Imlil – 1 h 28 min (66,9 km)
We will start our day out at 09 am from Marrakech by a 4WD vehicle or minivan for a 1.30-hour drive south up the Moulay Brahim Gorges. And the Berber village of Asni is very popular for its weekly market every Saturday then to Ait Mizan Valley. Imlil is a small village in the foothills of the highest mountains in Morocco Jbel Toubkal.
Imlil is the center to hire mountain guides and mules due to its unique position. And its connection to several Berber villages and a prevalent starting point for treks and hikes for climbing Toubkal mountain.
Arrival at Imlil here we shall leave our vehicle to start our walk towards the south to the Berber village of Aroumd (1843m) set in the upper-level foothills of the Western High Atlas mountains. a main trailhead with streams and paths branching out in all directions to get our lunch which will be served restaurant/Berber house in the village. Afterward, you can take a short walk before we return to Marrakech.
It should not be confused with Imlil in the Beni Mellal-Khénifra region. Imlil is a rural commune in the Province of Al Haouz, in the Marrakech-Safi region, in Morocco. It notably includes a homonymous village. The film Seven Years in Tibet, released in 1997, was partly shot near the town.
Toubkal National Park is located 70 km south of Marrakech, in the central part of the High Atlas, between the N’Fiss valleys to the west and that of Ourika to the east. Jebel Toubkal, also called the Toubkal massif, is the highest point of the High Atlas with an altitude of 4,167 meters.

This was an absolutely incredible trip! The planning done by our local specialist Dounia and the service provided by our guide Abdou was phenomenal. They dealt with all the hassle and logistics so that we could focus on enjoying our vacation. Our guide Abdou was very knowledgeable and personable. I would highly recommend Abdou and Dounia to anyone else visiting Morocco!

Excellent trip, Our guide, Abdou, was very engaging and informative, We absolutely loved having lunch in a beautiful Berber house! The food was some of the best on our trip! What a beautiful walk to the waterfall and a view of the mountain… Seeing how people live in the Moroccan mountains was so much fun… I loved seeing the Berbers cooking bread on the tandoor!

An incredible experience. The tour was impeccable in structure and volume, and worth every penny. The tour guide was an incredibly knowledgeable man named Abderrahim. He and Murad made the experience complete. I would recommend it to everyone.

We had a great time with this day trip. Great communication via WhatsApp from our driver Abdou as to when and where to kick us up. While we were in the very comfortable air-conditioned minivan on the way to the mountain, he gave us a brief introduction to the Berber culture and that was much appreciated. The camel ride was a lot of fun and everybody made sure we had great pictures taken. The picture is definitely going to be on our holiday card this year!
Hassan was our guide and he is wonderful. Whenever I needed help navigating the trail, he was always there to give me a hand. The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the lunch afterward was delicious. I highly recommend this day trip.

This was a well-organized and great value trip with lots to recommend it. We had a full day out and saw lots of things en route. Our guide Jamal was really friendly and good at managing our expectations and telling us about the things we were experiencing. I would have liked to have spent more time walking in the mountains instead of stopping for the camel ride, which made me feel sad for the camels. But I enjoyed stopping at the Argan oil cooperative and the lunch at the mountain restaurant was very tasty. It was also nice to get out of the city for the day and see the countryside. Thanks, Go Marrakech Desert Trips I really recommended it!

We hired a car and driver for 4 full days from Marrakech. Our driver, Abdou, was the best part of our whole experience. He was amazing! He spoke very good English, drove with great care for our safety, and was an overall amazing man. I can’t thank him enough. My daughter and I were so sad to leave him. I will recommend this company and this driver to all my friends and family. Don’t look any further for another company. They are the best and Abdou is the best of the best. They will show you everything and take care of you like family.

Incredible experience with. We were picked up from our Riad in Marrakech and brought to the three valleys, a stop in an Aragon oil shop, and Berber villages with a small hike to the waterfall. An amazing way to explore the Atlas Mountains in a day.
Our guide and driver Abdou was amazing! He feels like a friend after our great trip. He had amazing knowledge of the area and was a lot of fun. We enjoyed a snowball fight up in the mountains! Please ask Abdou if you are doing a tour and you won’t regret it. He was a highlight of our entire Morocco trip.
We enjoyed a nice lunch in Aicha then went on an enjoyable small hike/ walk around the base of Toubkal and around the Berber village, ending at the Waterfall. We were joined by a different Abdou, who was also amazing. He shared so much interesting information with us and was a wonderful guide.
I cannot recommend Toubkal Guide enough- they are a must for your Morocco trip! I will be sure to join them again when I am next there.

The entire trip to Toubkal National Park and the village of Imlil was outstanding. It started with Hassan and his 4×4 Toyota, where we were able to stop at a small shop & learn about the production of Argon Oil. He then brought us to ride Camels along a river with a beautiful view of the Atlas Mountain Range while riding the camels. Next Murad brought us to the village of Imlil, where we were guided by Mustafa through some villages to his home, where he provided us a delicious homemade feast. Definitely recommend the trip if you have a full day & want to experience the real and authentic Morocco
