We miss Morocco and our amazing guide Abdou and Dounia, our always smiling driver! Abdou arranged a magical trip for us, a true experience and not simply a prescribed list of sights. The highlight of our trip was our 2-nights camping in the Sahara at Tizi Camp. The camp is run by Muhammad with his team of friendly helpers/amazing musicians. After delicious dinners we would sit around the fire listening to live music played by Moubarak and his crew. Fantastic! We had many memorable discussions under the starry sky and I happily celebrated an unforgettable birthday there. We also visited a nomad home and rode camels at sunset, heard the music of Mali… thank you Moubarak! We have visited Morocco before but this trip taught us a great deal more and deepened the experience immeasurably.

When you are in a foreign country and traveling over 3 hours away from your hotel to the middle of nowhere you want to know you are in good hands. At all times we felt we were. My group was picked up on time, we were looked after all the way to the falls and on arrival were picked up by a knowledgeable tour guide. Our guy knew his stuff, took us on a great walk, and sorted us out getting taken around the falls on the rafts that get operated. The views themselves are spectacular, the wildlife is out of this world and it was all around a great experience. Just except when you get back to be very very tired.

The minibus trip is a bit of a bummer, the minibus itself was comfortable and clean, etc just a long drive. But once you’re there it’s a good day out. Our guide was really informative, he got some stick from other guides for being slow but he really explained things which was nice. The food was good, although took some time but to be expected at how busy they were.

Great Tour, the food at the restaurant they recommended wasn’t the best as was about twice the price you would pay elsewhere. I would recommend you walk on your own and use the very last small restaurant on the flat after the monkeys. This would mean less time sitting around waiting for the restaurant of their choice to serve everyone and give you more time with the monkeys. The guide was excellent despite an annoying loud American who thought he was the only person on the tour. It got to the stage where the guide had to address the situation with him so it didn’t spoil everyone else’s trip which needed doing and got the full support of the rest of the group. It’s a lot of traveling but with the few hours there.

A must-see! The falls are super cool. The trip itself is around 3 hours each way, but you get plenty of time at the falls where you can take a boat ride, eat a good lunch and see the monkeys. I was under the impression that our van driver would also walk us down and guide us to the falls but we were just dropped off. No worries though, it’s very easy to explore on your own. There are guides there who will charge 3 euros per person but that’s not necessary.

We had an excellent trip to the waterfalls. Air conditioning in the bus was a welcomed relief as were the rest stops but the long journey was worth it. We were guided down an easy path with plenty of photo opportunities on the way. At the bottom, we opted for the boat trip and were taken as close as possible to the falls. Our boys enjoyed swimming in the pools, there is a changing area. The walk back to the top is a little more tricky underfoot, trainers are needed, and plenty of water. Our meal at the top for a small additional charge was probably the best of our holiday. Our whole family recommends this trip.

This was a breathtaking experience. Our day started off early at 7 am to avoid the high volume of tourists. The waterfall was beautiful and we were able to see the area in peace. Our driver Mourad Badia was very friendly and took us to the area and we made our own way up the hike. Mourad also recommended a local restaurant for us to visit, which was very nice and affordable. The food was good. The whole experience was amazing due to our driver being able to commute with us fluently in both English and French. We also paid for a boat and went close to the waterfall, Another plus point is that there was unlimited WIFI connection in the Van throughout the journey. Would highly recommend this trip. Ensure that you wear the most comfortable shoes/ trainers for this trip.
