Morocco is the best African destination for golf tourism
During the European Golf Tourism Association Conference currently held in Malaga, Morocco was named the best African destination for golf tourism of the year.
The Moroccan National Tourism Office explained, in a statement, that this coronation came thanks to the joint efforts made by the Royal Moroccan Golf University and the Moroccan National Tourism Office.
The same source added that the European Golf Tourism Association Conference, currently being held in Malaga, Spain, is considered an important event for promoting golf tourism throughout the world.
During two consecutive days, more than 750 delegates from Europe and other destinations met to establish relations between tour and travel operators specializing in golf tourism and sector contractors, especially golf course supervisors, hotel vehicle owners and travel agencies.
After the communication stressed that this event is a unique occasion to strengthen ties and explore new opportunities in the field of golf and tourism, it pointed out that this year was marked by a strong presence from Morocco through its mobilization of a large number of private players who are active in the field of golf, golf courses, hoteliers and representatives of golf teams in the Kingdom.
It was stated in the communication that on the sidelines of the current 2024 session, Morocco won the title of the best African destination for golf tourism for the year 2024, and this was done in the presence of 660 golf tour planners, who discussed and analyzed the achievements of the first semester of the year 2024 and the degree of satisfaction of their customers in order to vote.
The communication noted that this award comes to reward and enhance the efforts made by the Royal Moroccan Golf University and the Moroccan National Tourism Office to sustain the sport of golf, work to improve the travel experience and promote golf tourism.
With regard to the Moroccan National Tourism Office, the communication stated that golf is an important and decisive factor for developing tourism and strengthening its qualifications, which has already led to achievements thanks to the Kingdom’s high-level golf destinations, all of which have contributed to Morocco’s radiance at the international level, as the office hopes. The Moroccan National Tourist Association, in partnership with the Royal Moroccan University of Tourism, aims to advance Morocco as a leading and distinguished destination for golf tourism and its practitioners.
It is noteworthy that the Moroccan National Tourism Office had previously concluded an agreement, last November, with Netflix to promote golf in Morocco.
This unique partnership aims to establish the “Morocco, Land of Lights” brand globally in the golf sector by leveraging the powerful power of the global leader, “Netflix.”
Thus, the Moroccan National Tourism Office continues its endeavor to implement its Light in Action plan, by finding innovative solutions and providing exceptional and distinct opportunities for the benefit of the Moroccan destination and touching and attracting the largest number of tourists around the world.
